Hello, this is CG Academy.




Local immigration authorities have announced changes and price increase for the new SSP and ACR (I-CARD) regulations.

Below are the details of the following changes:



1. SSP(Special Study Permit)

- Effective Date: From students starting their courses on May 20, 2024.

- Changes: Changes in validity period and requirement to submit a Return Ticket.

- SSP issued for a duration of 24 weeks per


 issuance.


- No requirement for a Return Ticket when


obtaining an SSP.


- SSP issued according to the student’s course


duration.


- Students enrolled beyond 8 weeks require a


copy of the Return Ticket.



EX) - Students enrolled for 1 to 8 weeks: Must specify their course duration, and the SSP validity

        period applies accordingly.


     - Students enrolled for 9 weeks or more: Must specify their course duration and submit

        a Return Ticket (SSP validity period applies).


Ø  If a student decides to extend his or her study duration, an additional SSP application


will be processed for the whole duration of the new extension.

 

 

-      Students for more than 9 weeks will need a return ticket when applying for SSP.

(If you do not have a return ticket, you will not be able to proceed with SSP)



2. ACR(Alien Certificate Of Registration Identity Card)

- Effective Date: From students starting their courses on June 17, 2024.

- Changes: Revised issuance timing of ACR (I-CARD) and types

 (Student - first day, Tourist - from 9 weeks), with increased fees.

- Second visa extension and Tourist ACR


- Cost: 3,500 pesos



- Incoming students – SSP and Student ACR


(first day) must be processed together


- Second visa extension and Tourist ACR


- Cost: Php 4,000



EX) – All incoming students must process SSP and Student ACR on their first week of study.


        All foreign nationals who will stay in the Philippines for more than 59 days must process


        Tourist ACR together with second visa extension. (Valid for 1 year)
